Thea
Raab
Designer, Project Manager
Thea’s interest in home building began in South Dakota circa 1980s, where she often tagged along with her grandfather, a retired farmer turned house flipper, on visits to his fixer uppers and the local hardware store. That interest intensified with her first high school drafting class and she would often spend time drawing residential floor plans for fun.
Thea went on to receive a B.A. in Architectural Studies from the University of Kansas and an Applied Science degree in Architectural/Engineering Technology from Southeast Technical Institute.
She considers herself lucky to have a career she loves. She views every project as a unique puzzle that requires teamwork to assemble. The team receives the ultimate reward when all of the pieces come together. Thea still enjoys visiting hardware stores and jobsites where the smell of sawdust takes her back to time spent with her grandfather.
Aside from work, Thea enjoys summertime at the beach or on the boat with family and friends. In the offseason, she can be found at Whaler football games where her husband Matt is a coach, the Boys & Girls Club where daughter Sydney plays basketball and lacrosse, Dreamland Stage Co. productions where daughter Ava is a frequent participant, or catching a yoga class when time allows.
